Monica Das Neves

Born in Colares and raised in Paris, where she discovered photography and began her career, Mónica Das Neves is currently based in Barcelona.

Her black and white work is characterized by a sensitive approach in which light and shadow reveal what is essential, with particular attention to stories that often remain silent.

She has developed projects focused on identity, memory, and resilience, addressing subjects such as Parkinson’s disease, social exclusion, loneliness among the elderly, and Roma culture in the La Mina neighborhood.

She has collaborated with organizations such as the Red Cross and Fundació Magone, and has exhibited her work in several European countries.
